PROJECT OVERVIEW

Background

The US-based Samsung PM team utilizes an internally developed Project Management tool to track and report the high-level progress of projects. However, the tool's limitations which don’t cater to the team’s daily work needs, have resulted in inefficiencies and a decrease in user satisfaction.

Scope

Our team's primary objective was to address the existing tool's limitations and inefficiencies, aiming to create a more user-friendly and streamlined platform that aligns better with the team's daily work tasks. In a team of 4, we conducted user research to understand the main user group’s needs, priorities, and pain points during their daily workflow using the program. With an understanding of the specifics of the users’ goals and the technical constraints of the current product, we provided targeted solutions to address the key problems and enhance platform efficiency and effectiveness.

Outcome

By enhancing the usability of existing features and introducing new ones to meet user-specific requirements we achieved a 30% reduction in time spent on primary tasks. Additionally, our efforts led to a substantial 15% increase in users' SUS (System Usability Scale) scores, reflecting a significant improvement in overall user satisfaction.
